(John + Katie) - Embrace Church & Country Club of Sioux Falls

The gown waiting in preparation.

With the help of Katie's MOH or better known as big sis, they helped each other prepare for the big day ahead.

Every bride needs a "selfie" with her girls!

The long await to see John's bride was sheer excitement and exhilaration when he had to wait 10 minutes for his bride while they fixed her dress.

Sharing a laugh between each other as they couldn't believe their big day was finally here.

Katie's dress flowed perfectly from every way she swayed.

Even in a black and white image, you can see a colorful laugh being painted between the groomsmen.

The quickest getaway we had to stay dry from the rain!

Using our surroundings, the reflection from an end table created a fun "guy's photo".

A different look to our formals by using this sophisticated hallway instead.

The simplicity of using black and white shows how much more the ring is perfect in every way.

A prayer for their marriage.

In dark churches, the use of off camera lighting makes awesome images.

The hand-off from daughter to bride.

The off camera flash rimmed their silhouettes beautifully creating this soulful portrait.

A wide shot of the bridal party.

The first kiss as husband and wife with many cheering them on.

Oh boy. They are definitely going to remember this for years to come!

Sharing a quick dance on the golf course before going in to do the "real thing".

Their happiness shined no matter how dark it would get.

A quick snap before heading into party!

Katie's dad is in a band and her mom decided to join in a song with him.

Sharing a sweet smile as they sway the night away.

(Colton + Jaclyn) - Yankton Wedding at St. Benedict's Catholic Church & Minervas

This bridesmaid was definitely excited as she was about to see the bride dressed in her gown.

Jaclyn prepared for her big day with the help of her bridesmaids and makeup by Kelly Vornhagen.

Colton checking his finishing touches while doing it with a flashy smile!

With a touch of pink, the programs had a beautiful sparkle that filled the pews.

I don't think there was a dry eye in the church as Colton was viewing his bride for the first time.

This angle, that window, the couple...perfect!

With makeup by Kelly Vornhagen and flowers by HyVee,  I think this bride was absolutely stunning with all the touches she added. Whether it was the simple necklace or the gorgeous flowing dress from Allure!

As the story goes, a girl's best friend is her diamonds. Today, I am pretty sure that is a whole different story for Colton and Jaclyn!

Accompanied by her parents, Jaclyn walked down the aisle to her groom in St. Benedict's Catholic Church.

This groom couldn't have been more excited to marry his girl. You can just see it in his eyes!

This couple had a fun and memorable get-away car, but nothing can beat their smiles after saying "I do"!

A sweet moment together at Riverside Park.

Pretty in pink. Yes, these girls are!

Colton hanging out with his groomsmen.

As they danced their night away, Mike Srstka's Jazz Band was there to make some tunes.

(Jody + Tori) - Sioux Falls Private Home Wedding

This gorgeous designer gown by Rebecca Schoeneveld hung perfectly in the window as it awaited for the bride. Shoes were designed by Kate Spade.

In the home she grew up in, her mother and sister helped her get ready for her very special day. Kat Christensen helped out this bride with the perfect make up touches.

Tori preparing herself for the moments ahead.

The first look is always a beautiful moment for the couple.

Tori's bridesmaids were full of giggles throughout the happy tears for their friend.

This group of gentleman were ready to stand beside their friend for his big day!

Florist Jerry Trefz worked his magic for Jody and Tori by preparing the beautiful decor used throughout the day.

A gorgeous couple that shine like soul mates.

Florist Jerry Trefz prepared the floral decor for the day while doing an outstanding job!

Jody and Tori decided to have some of their closest family to have their young ones to be flower children and toss a few petals. It was an adorable scene to watch!

This is a beautiful moment. A father giving away his daughter for the first time is one of the biggest and happiest moments of their lives.

One of our favorite things is to try to capture the grooms face as he sees his bride walk down the aisle. Jody's expression show it all!

This venue...the light...the couple....ahhh! It's all too perfect!

Sealing this wedding a the perfect kiss.

A fun scene as the flower children threw some of the petals back up for the couple. Can't leave without a bang!

The Bellfuries were ready to rock and roll some sweet tunes for the couple along with DJ Wade Randall later that evening.

A gorgeous lounge area with an even better view!

Because who doesn't want to have a little fun and games at their wedding?

As they gaze into each others eyes during their first dance as husband and wife, everyone else watched in awe of the beautiful couple.

Dancing to the Bellfuries, Dad and his little girl swaying the night away.

Jody's best man and Tori's maid of honor gave one memorable speech that was perfect for the couple.

Cheers to the new couple!

The cheesecake recipes were something Tori grew up with in her childhood that her mom would make and thought it was a perfect treat for their wedding! Pies were provided by queen city bakery. The meal was prepared Joe's Kansas City and Chef Dom's Catering

This venue couldn't have been more perfect the couple as it was located right below Tori's home.

(Austin + Mallory) - Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church & Icon Event Hall Wedding

In her home, Mallory prepared for her big day with the help of Jessica Van Houten and Rachel Aman as hairstylists.

That dress...and those vines...ahh!! It just says a gorgeous winter wedding is about to happen.

This bouquet is perfect for a December wedding. Tucked with berries, this bouquet is idyllic for the day!

Isn't she beautiful? Even with out make up, this bride is amazing inside and out! But since a bride may need a few touch ups Rebekah Leigh was there to help her out.

Passed down from her mother, these shoes helped make Mallory's day a little bit more  memorable.

The rings set in fur truly give the feel of what it was like on this day. Cozy, dreamy, and wrapped in love - a day to remember.

Mallory's dress was absolutely gorgeous for her day. Around the neck, lace, jewels, and buttons, this dress couldn't be more beautiful.

For the first look, we went to a meadow area full of snow. The site couldn't have been better, especially with Austin's reaction.

The group gathered for a quick photo and back into the cars they went for a quick warm up! Brrr!

These stunning ladies added the right touches with their shawls, dresses, a muff, and their even better smiles!

These guys did a great job bearing the weather for a quick snap! (Sorry if the snow got in your socks!)

A special moment the couple shares together. These two are made for each other!

As Mallory and her dad walked down the aisle in Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, nothing could have been better than to see Austin's reaction.

Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church was beautifully decorated for this beautiful occasion!

Sharing a quick sip on the way to take a couple of photos!

We decided to go to the Falls downtown for a quick photo with all of the beautiful lights! It was totally worth even if you can see Austin's breath.

Warming up the dance floor with music from Energy Event Studio. Their dance that they prepared definitely wowed us and the crowd!

1227-0986.jpg

The Cake Lady did an incredible job with their cake! While adding fun little touches, this day totally awesome!

Because who doesn't like s'mores even if it is in the middle of December??

And one to end the night, even if they literally ran out for 30 seconds because it was below zero.

(Adam + Krista) - Embrace Church & South Sioux Falls Hilton Garden Inn Wedding

Krista's bridal gown glistened with light as it awaited for her to put on.

Krista and her mother share a special bond as they prepare her for the big day!

Krista shined from head to toe as she put on her finishing touches.

Krista's smile sparkled as she was wrapped in Adam as they awaited the big day.

Krista's bouquet from Gustaf's Greenery was absolutely gorgeous! I am loving the simple touches of pink in her bouquet. Krista's ring sparkled as gave a nice touch on Krista's finger on the big day.

Krista and girls stand side by side on the day.

Adam and Krista standing with their favorite people on as they prepare for the big "I do".

You can just see the love that they have for each other!! <3

With all the bugs that Krista had to deal with, this image was absolutely worth it! I love how the   grass softly wrapped around them creating this beautiful image!

The lighting in the background gives really awesome texture in Embrace Church.

Adam and Krista shared many laughs together at the alter as they said their vows.

(Shadoe + Marcy) - Sioux Falls Riviera Wedding

Marcy's beautiful wedding gown showed light, beauty and elegance as it hung on her wedding day. With exquisite sequence and embellishments, this gown was made for her.

From head to toe, Marcy is decorated in beautiful textures. Her shoes that she would walk down the aisle in, made the perfect sparkle to match her jewelry. As her mother helped add these touches, it was a moment that these two would share forever.

The guys sharing a moment before its go time.

Marcy's shoes were perfect for her in every way.

From the make up to the dazzling jewelry, this bride is beautiful from any angle.

Shadoe and Marcy's venue had the perfect amount of light that shined through as she was walking in.

Grandparents are in important. The reaction to seeing their granddaughter on her wedding day is something that no one will forget.

As Marcy walked in, Shadoe could not have been more nervous or excited to finally see Marcy.

The rings absolutely sparkled as the light gently hit the rings. The purple ring bearer pillow made an excellent back ground as it gave an intriguing view and formed a beautiful image.

As Marcy walked down the aisle with her father, here is a beautiful image capturing the moment between them.

With a wide angle, this church gathered many in on this beautiful day to celebrate an even better couple.

Whether it is inside saying the vows or outside running through bubbles, this couple glowed from every angle.

With her girls by her side, this day could not have gotten any better.

A breath taking bride and a wondrous flower girl, this photo is perfect in every way!

Isn't Marcy bouquet stunning?? I mean those colors and the flowers...aahh! I'm in love!

There is never a dull moment when it comes to the guys and having fun!

This spot was absolutely divine! Love how the veil just draws you to the couple in this image.

These guys were an absolute blast to work with. Their personalities were a hoot!

You can just see how much love they share!

Everywhere Marcy went on this day, you could just see how happy she was! Her sweet smile couldn't have been any bigger.

Prairie Nature area gave a beautiful setting for this couple. I love how the light shines through giving the perfect touches.

The Sioux Falls Riviera was a beautiful venue for a beautiful couple. I love how the bokeh gives a nice touch from the gorgeous chandelier.

While eating their meal and guests clinging their glasses together for a kiss, this couple can do it all.

After the meal, it was time to dance the night away! This angle and the lighting is just...aaahhh!! <3

Becky and Jared

Becky was a bridesmaid in a wedding I shot a few years ago. It's been awhile, five? six years maybe? And that wedding is still one of my favorites. When I heard that, I knew this one would be good too. But, when I met Becky and Jerad for their engagement session, I knew it would be better than I imaged.

Just like on their engagement session day, the day of the wedding Jerad could not stop looking at Becky. The two of them are so head over heals in love that it made my job easy. I just had to click the shutter and the magic between them shined through on all the images.

It was an honor to see these two commit to each other and thank you again for having me!

Troy + Emily : 07.26.13

Loved these two! Their engagement session was so much fun that I knew the wedding in Huron would be fabulous. Emily put a lot of thought into her details and making things special and unique for their wedding. Their wedding ceremony was at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Believe it or not, Huron is one of my favorite towns for photos! There's some really awesome spots to take a fun bridal party. Since Troy and Emily are definitely in the *FUN* bridal party category, we really made the most of our time and hit some amazing spots.

We finished up at the Crossroads Hotel for their wedding reception. Decor was done by the ever awesome Simply Divine. Love working weddings with her.

Chris and Ashley | 06.29.13

It's lovely blogging beautiful warm summer weddings in the middle of a long, very cold winter. :) Chris and Ashley had a beautiful ceremony at the Sioux Falls First United Methodist Church. We were able to do wedding portraits at Terrace Park and downtown Sioux Falls. After the ceremony, we did more portraits in downtown Sioux Falls and finished up at Shriver's Square and Chef Dominique's  Ashley did a wonderful job of creating so many of the details herself.

Chelsey and Alex : Hoven hometown wedding
hunnel_0941.jpg

I was looking forward to this wedding for a year! I met Chelsey years ago and loved her and her family so much. I knew that Chelsey's style and flair would be amazing when combined for a wedding. I was so honored to be there as these high school sweethearts tied the knot in their hometown church. And speaking of that beautiful St. Anthony's of Padua Catholic Church... I have two more fabulous weddings there this summer and I am so excited to discover more beautiful ways to photograph in this church.
